In this Video, Dr. Sanjay Biyani, Academic Director, Biyani Group of Colleges, tells us about the basic difference in the attitude of people who only do their duties, and people who are happy to take on additional responsibilities. Dr. Biyani says that ‘Duty’ smells of Servant-Master relationship, and ‘Responsibility’ speaks of a sense of ownership. The basic characteristics of a Responsible person are: He/She is not time-bound, nor money oriented, but is work oriented, courageous, solution-provider, and lively. A Duty bound person, with limited work and unlimited expectations from life, is just the opposite. As HRM professionals should be able to differentiate between these two types of employees, to be able to deal with them effectively.

In this video Dr. Biyani that there are differences between mind and Intellect. For example, mind distracts, and intellect helps n taking decisions, mind is always wandering and curious, but intellect is stable and a solution provider, mind worries unnecessarily, but intellect philosophizes. One should realize whether one lays more stress on mind or intellect, as a human entity. Only then can we find a way to control our mind and develop our intellect. All human beings have the power and energy to find their own priorities and solutions.

Brain and Heart are two vital organs of immense value. The mind, which is often confused with the brain can be valued at Rs. 100 Crore. It is precious but highly misused. Heart is valued at Rs.1000 Crore. It deals with emotions and feelings and is powerful tool. But we let our mind override our feelings and that is why we are not able to lead happy lives. The mind is competitive, and ever dissatisfied. The heart always loves, and is grateful for even small blessings in life. The mind preaches revenge and the heart teaches forgiveness. The Mind binds us, and the heart liberates us. If we understand the power of the heart and learn to value our emotions, we will become better people, and the society will also become better.

In this Video, Dr. Sanjay Biyani, Academic Director, Biyani Group of Colleges, differentiates Attitude from Aptitude, wherein Attitude is formed and affected by one’s environment and external factors. Aptitude is an internal factor and relates to one’s innate capabilities and genetic tendencies. Dr. Biyani asserts that Attitude can change according to our will. Knowledge and Experience are important in life, but developing the right attitude is more important. We cannot control Aptitude, but we can change our attitude. We should take both in consideration during career counseling.

Our Brain is governed by our intellect, so always hear good things through your ears, and always smell good things with our nose. Our whole body is controlled by our intellect which is a very powerful. When your Heart comes under our intellect it becomes very powerful which connects it to knowledge, thus making our five senses (nose, ear, mouth etc.) stronger. These are governed by our intellect which also controls our soul. He appeals that if you want to make yourself powerful then let your heart depend on your Intellect, by which you can make yourself Happy. Also make your brain powerful. Parents should motivate their children to control their Emotions as Heart is the power house of our body. And our Heart needs Silence to regenerate its lost energy and to relax one should meditate, which increases your energy level and Intellect.
