Transformers are static devices who transfer electric power from one circuit to another with changed voltage levels but keeping the system frequency constant. They are of two types step up and step down. Transformer has two windings one is primary and other is secondary winding and these are both placed in the transformer tank.

Generator is basically that device which convert mechanical power into electrical power .There are five types of generator first, separately excited generator .second self excited generator which is further subdivided into two types series excited generator and shunt excited generator third one is compound excited generator it is sub divided into long shunt compound excited generator and short shunt compound excited generator.

The upper block carries three wheels which freely rotate about their individual central axes and are supported over a single common axle which is firmly fixed to a rigid upper frame. The lower block also contains similar pulley and axle mechanism; however the whole structure is supported by one end of an intertwined string configuration passing through the pulleys, as illustrated in the figure. The other end termination of the string which passes across the uppermost pulley is used for the application of the effort. The weight is supported by the axle of the lower block. And as usual MA and the efficiency may be written as given for the first system of pulleys.

The power arm will always be of the same length as the weight arm in a pulley of the first order. In other words, the effort must be equal to the weight in order to keep the lever in equilibrium. Tension in the rope will be be equal to the effort. it has a velocity ratio of one.

As their name suggests the main job of a “Power Amplifier” (also known as a large signal amplifier), is to deliver power to the load, and as we know from above, is the product of the voltage and current applied to the load with the output signal power being greater than the input signal power. In other words, a power amplifier amplifies the power of the input signal which is why these types of amplifier circuits are used in audio amplifier output stages to drive loudspeakers.

In third order pulley system , system of pulley is fixed to the top support over which a rope passes , whose one end is attached to the rigid base and the other end to the third pulley, like wise system of pulley is attached. The weight is hold by the rigid base.
