This video is about the chemical composition of chromosome, which consists of chiefly of DNA, Histone and Non- Histone Proteins. DNA,the Polynucleotide, is the sole genetic material of the organism. Five kinds of Histone proteins help in structural organization of the chromosome and they are highly conserved during evolution among species. There are about 20 Non Histone proteins having regulatory functions.

This is part of lecture presented by Ms Priyanka Khan, Asst. Professor in Biyani Girls College. This lecture is about R.H. Whittaker’s Five Kingdom Concept
According to Five Kingdom Concept of R.H. Whittaker living beings have been categorized into 5 Kingdoms:- Monera, Protista, Plantae, Fungi and Algae. Monerans are kingdom of Unicellular Prokaryotes, Protista are kingdom of Unicellular Eukaryotes, Plantae are kingdom of Multicellular Eukaryote Producers, Fungi, the kingdom of Multicellular Decomposers and Animalia are kingdom of Multicellular Eukaryote Consumers.

Formation of protein from RNA is known as translation. This mechanism is divided into following steps-
1. Activation of amino acids
2. Initiation
3. Elongation
4. Termination
Amino acids are activated by t-RNA. These activated amino acids binds with m-RNA. AUG is initiating codon because it initiates translation. Ribosome covers whole complex (amino acid t-RNA m-RNA complex). Many amino acids enter in this complex and formed polypeptide chain. When releasing factor enters in this, it releases protein (polypeptide chain) from complex.
